Peer approach towards addictions and comorbidity

How we approach addictions and comorbidity in mental health considering families, culture and our community is ever changing as new research and techniques come to light.

Next month mental health professionals and those working within addiction will come together with peers for the 2016 Australian and New Zealand Addiction Conference as a platform for learning, debate and discussion of best practice for the prevention, treatment and recovery of alcohol , drugs and behavioural addictions.

With an amazing line up of keynote speakers including Professor Jan Copeland – Director, National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre, UNSW, Dr Sally McCarthy – Medical Director, Emergency Care Institute and Professor Richard Murray – Dean of Medicine and Head of School, College of Medicine and Dentistry, James Cook University, it is a great opportunity to increase knowledge to ensure best practice.
